I think it’s safe to say that all of us who seek to follow Christ have had — and still have — many influential women and men in our lives who aren’t family members. I’d never taken the time to think about who they might be until fairly recently. The exercise opened my eyes. I found God at work throughout my life, in ways I’d never realized and using people who probably never knew they were important to me.
